Coalition Targets Houthi Militia’s Strategic Resources in Yemen

Sanaa:The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has launched a military operation aimed at neutralizing critical resources utilized by the Houthi militia to sustain its war efforts. Major General Turki Al-Malki, the official spokesperson for the Coalition, reported that the Houthi militia was employing civilian sites and vital resources such as Al-Sabaha Central Station in Sanaa, as well as fuel storage facilities and transport berths in Al-Hodeidah, Sanaa, and Dhamar. These facilities were being used to directly support military operations, thereby depriving the Yemeni people of essential resources meant for civilian needs.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Coalition's operation seeks to dismantle the capabilities of the Houthi militia that pose threats to Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the southern Red Sea, and international waterways. The militia's use of these resources has facilitated missile and UAV attacks, endangering the safety of airports, ports, and commercial vessels in the Red Sea, and has supported hostile actions against civilians and civilian infrastructure.

The Coalition emphasized its adherence to international humanitarian law, ensuring that all efforts were made to avoid civilian casualties or damage to civilian property during the operation. Major General Al-Malki urged the Houthi militias to immediately halt all terrorist activities targeting civilians and infrastructure, including airports and oil facilities.
