Makkah: The Ministry of Commerce carried out 5,298 inspection visits from Dhu Al-Hijjah 1 to 8 as part of its operational plan for the Hajj season in the holy sites and Makkah Region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspections aimed to ensure the high availability of food and consumer goods for pilgrims and verify that commercial establishments and all sales outlets complied with consumer protection regulations.
The visits covered the holy sites, the central area surrounding the Grand Mosque, miqats, markets, shopping centers, gold and jewelry shops, service centers, fuel stations, and roads leading to the Two Holy Mosques.
