Riyadh: The Digital Regulations Academy (DRA) held a training program titled 'Advanced Professional Certification for Compliance and Regulatory Officers.' The program aims to enhance the competence of compliance and regulatory professionals at ICT service providers and reflects the Communications, Space and Technology Commission's (CST) commitment to developing human capabilities and improving professional standards within the regulatory work environment in the communications and technology sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the training program featured more than 38 trainees from over 25 entities. During the two-day program, participants were introduced to the general framework for regulatory compliance and its importance in the workplace. The sessions clarified the role of the regulatory compliance officer in supporting governance and transparency across sectors and provided a comprehensive overview of CST's regulations and executive bylaws to ensure efficient implementation. Participants also explored mechanisms for evaluating and monitoring compliance based on established standards.
The 'Advanced Professional Certification for Compliance and Regulatory Officers' is the first specialized certification offered by the DRA as part of its ongoing programs. This initiative aligns with CST's broader goals to build human capital in digital regulation and public policy, thereby supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and contributing to the development of a flourishing digital economy through innovative regulatory approaches.
