Education Minister Participates in G20 Education Ministers’ Meeting.

Brasília: Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan participated on Wednesday in the G20 Education Ministers' Meeting, held under the chairmanship of Brazil's Minister of Education Camilo Santana. The meeting saw participation from G20 education ministers, guest countries, and heads of regional and international organizations. According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Benyan highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to support the group's objectives. He reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to partnering with member countries to promote sustainability in education and invest in skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship. These efforts aim to ensure a sustainable future for citizens and enhance the global competitiveness of future generations. Al-Benyan noted the establishment of a specialized social responsibility and volunteer work department within the Saudi Ministry of Education. This department is tasked with integrating Sustainable Development Goals into the educational system and designing community-focused initiatives to address local needs. The minister further emphasized that Saudi Vision 2030 has set specific targets for the non-profit sector in Saudi Arabia. The vision aims to establish 10,000 community organizations, contribute over 5% to the GDP, and engage one million volunteers. Al-Benyan also stressed the importance of implementing comprehensive digital strategies to modernize educational processes, improve resource access, and enhance learning outcomes through innovative technologies and platforms.
