New york: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Dr. Badr Abdelatty emphasized the need for a political framework and negotiation track to achieve a just and comprehensive peace through the two-state solution and the end of Israeli occupation, calling on Israel to withdraw from territories occupied since June 4, 1967, halt unilateral measures, especially settlement activities, and implement relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, he made his remarks during the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Abdelatty urged measures to end Israeli aggression in Gaza, finalize a ceasefire, exchange hostages and prisoners, enable the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to operate effectively, and ensure the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid.
The minister highlighted the need for coordinated international efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories and emphasized that reviving the two-state solution is essential for regional security.
