Paris: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in a ministerial meeting in Paris to discuss the U.S. plan for Gaza and steps toward a cease-fire. The meeting included foreign ministers and representatives from Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Trkiye, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Canada, and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas.
According to Saudi Press Agency, participants welcomed the agreement on a cease-fire, the exchange of prisoners, the release of hostages, and the initiation of the first phase of the peace process. The meeting reviewed mediation efforts by Qatar, Egypt, and Trkiye, and explored ways to support the U.S. peace plan in accordance with the New York Declaration. This plan aims to support a political track leading to sustainable peace in Gaza and the region.
