Manama: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the 167th session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held today in Manama, Bahrain, the current chair of the session, with the participation of heads of delegations attending the meeting.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, participants reviewed the progress of joint Gulf action and ways to strengthen and advance it. They also discussed a number of topics and reports related to monitoring the implementation of decisions issued by the GCC Supreme Council, as well as memoranda and reports submitted by ministerial and technical committees and the General Secretariat.
Participants also discussed regional and international developments and issues of common interest. The meeting expressed condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting countries in the region and the resulting repercussions affecting regional security and stability. It underscored the need to respect state sovereignty and the principles of good neighborliness, adhere to international law, and prioritize dialogue and peaceful solutions in a manner that contributes to enhancing regional security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Economic and Development Affairs Deputyship Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi; Director General of the General Department for Policy Planning Prince Dr. Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud Al-Kabeer; and Saudi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Naif Al-Sudairi.
