Bangkok:Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Albudaiwi, met with Imad Najib Fakhoury, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the Middle East and Central Asia, in Bangkok. The meeting took place alongside Albudaiwi's participation in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on reviewing and enhancing the cooperation between the GCC and the IFC. Both parties explored various proposed initiatives and projects aimed at strengthening joint efforts and exchanging expertise and knowledge.

Additionally, the meeting addressed key economic developments within the GCC states, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in maintaining economic stability and achieving sustainable development and prosperity.
