Riyadh: GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi expressed his condemnation in the strongest terms of the terrorist ballistic missile attack carried out by the Houthi militia targeting the southern region of Saudi Arabia, affirming that this cowardly attack represents a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, reflecting the militia's insistence on undermining security and stability and threatening the safety of civilians and installations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi underlined that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia and its violation of all international laws and the ceasefire warrant a firm and deterrent international stance to put an end to its hostile practices and ensure those responsible are held accountable, thereby contributing to the protection of regional and international peace and security.
He reaffirmed that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC member states, and that the Council stands as one with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
