London: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi met with Liam Byrne, Chairman of the International Trade Committee in the UK Parliament. According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi highlighted the longstanding relationship between the GCC and the UK, noting its ongoing development in multiple sectors. The meeting also evaluated the progress of negotiations aimed at establishing a free trade agreement between the GCC and the UK. This agreement seeks to create a comprehensive framework to advance mutual economic interests and expand opportunities for investment integration.
