GCC Secretary-General: GCC’s Success Makes It a Global Model Despite Challenges

Riyadh, The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, stated that the journey of the GCC has become a model to be emulated among the countries of the world, despite all the challenges and difficulties it faces, according to the statement issued by the GCC secretariate General.

At the beginning of his speech, Albudaiwi reviewed the historical foundations and motives for establishing the GCC, emphasising the primary goal of unifying the efforts of the council countries to confront regional and global challenges. He praised the late founding leaders for establishing a cohesive Gulf bloc that achieves interconnectedness and comprehensive integration among the member states.

During the lecture, Albudaiwi also highlighted the valuable indicators, statistics, and milestones achieved by the GCC countries throughout their journey, following the directives of the late and current leaders of the GCC.

Albudaiwi also praised the hard work and dedication of those involved at all l
evels in overcoming challenges and obstacles faced by the GCC countries, expressing his determination to continue working towards integration between member states.

Furthermore, Albudaiwi emphasised that the directives of the GCC leaders were always aimed at achieving the well-being of their people and providing a safe and stable environment. He also highlighted the significant progress made by the GCC countries in various fields of integration.

He mentioned the changing environment in which the GCC countries are located and the need to strengthen solidarity and unify efforts to overcome challenges and protect the GCC’s influence.

Meanwhile, Albudaiwi acknowledged the vital role of future generations in preserving and enhancing the GCC’s gains to adapt to future changes and circumstances.
