Paris:The GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), under the leadership of its President Eng. Jabor Al-Naimi, took part in the ISO Annual Meeting 2026, which was held in Paris from September 28 to October 2. The event focused on the theme "Building Trust in a Changing World."

According to Saudi Press Agency, the GSO was involved in various meetings and sessions that addressed significant standardization issues and emerging trends. These discussions emphasized the role of standards in facilitating trade, fostering innovation, promoting sustainable development, enabling technological transformation, and enhancing market confidence.

Additionally, the GSO participated in a regional forum designed for Arab and African countries. This forum concentrated on exchanging best practices and enhancing regional cooperation in standardization.

During the meeting, the GSO also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization. This agreement aims to bolster cooperation in standardization and quality, eliminate technical trade barriers, and strengthen commercial relations between GSO member states and Jordan.
