GFSA President Receives FAO Programme Director in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: President of the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) Ahmad Al-Fares has received Director of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Programme in Saudi Arabia Dr. Nizar Haddad and his accompanying delegation. They discussed topics of mutual interest, including sustainability and food security, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences and practices in the authority's field of work.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing food security challenges and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Both parties expressed their commitment to building a stronger partnership to achieve their shared goals in the region.

The discussions also focused on leveraging innovative solutions to improve food production and distribution systems in Saudi Arabia. By sharing best practices and lessons learned, the GFSA and FAO aim to develop strategies that can contribute to the country's long-term food security objectives.
