Ghaith Association Launches “Walking Guidance” Project to Assist Half a Million Pilgrims

Mecca: Ghaith Charitable Association has initiated the "Walking Guidance" project within the Grand Mosque and its courtyards, aiming to assist approximately 500,000 pilgrims during this Hajj season. This initiative is part of a collaborative effort with the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, as well as the Guests of God Service Program.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the "Walking Guidance" project is part of the "Ask Me" initiative by the Commission's Spatial Guidance Department for Crowds. It is designed to improve the guidance and navigation experience for pilgrims and visitors within the Grand Mosque. The project employs qualified field teams to facilitate the movement of pilgrims, ensuring a smooth and secure religious journey, thereby reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to the care and service of the pilgrims.

The initiative is set to benefit more than half a million pilgrims, supported by over 50 trained field guides stationed at key locations throughout the Haram and its surrounding areas. These guides offer assistance in at least four major languages, addressing the cultural and linguistic diversity of the pilgrims. This strategic approach is intended to minimize cases of disorientation and loss, achieved in partnership with relevant official bodies.

The "Walking Guidance" project aligns with Ghaith Charitable Association's goals to implement various initiatives for the benefit of pilgrims and visitors to the House of God. These initiatives include providing meals, water, and care packages to enhance the overall experience of the pilgrims.
