Jeddah: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) held a press briefing today to announce details of the fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition 2025, which will be held in Jeddah from November 9 to 12 under the theme “From Makkah to the World.”
According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference will cover an area of 60,000 square meters and include 18 Hajj-related sectors. It is expected to attract more than 150,000 visitors, surpassing last year’s attendance of 120,000. The event will feature 143 specialized sessions with 225 speakers and 270 exhibitors. Additionally, over 2,400 trainees from around the world are anticipated to participate.
Ministry of Hajj and Umrah spokesperson Dr. Ghassan Alnwaimi described the conference as an international platform for exchanging expertise and enhancing services for pilgrims. The event aims to integrate technology, infrastructure, and human resources in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. A significant feature will be the “Innovation Zone,” focused on future services through AI, sustainable engineering, and crowd management technologies.
For the first time, Darah will contribute to the conference’s scientific and cultural program, as stated by its spokesperson Sultan Al-Awairdi. He highlighted the foundation’s contributions, including the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques forum, where researchers will present historical insights and examine technology’s role in documenting the evolution of Hajj. This will be complemented by the 100 Years of Care for the Two Holy Mosques exhibition, offering a historical journey through rare documents, photographs, and artifacts that emphasize the Kingdom’s dedication to preserving Islamic heritage.
