Hajj Ministry Suspends Three Umrah Companies for Housing Violations

Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended three Umrah companies after detecting violations involving failure to provide housing services to Umrah performers in accordance with approved contractual programs. The ministry stressed that, in cooperation with relevant authorities, legal measures are being taken against the external agents contracted with these companies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a number of Umrah performers arrived in the Kingdom without being provided with their approved accommodation, despite such services being documented within the contractual programs. This constitutes a clear violation of the regulations and instructions governing services for Umrah performers and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque.

The ministry further highlighted that the violating companies were immediately obligated to secure accommodation for all affected Umrah performers. The measures were promptly taken in line with the approved regulatory frameworks to safeguard the rights of those affected, prevent the recurrence of such violations, and enhance the quality of services provided to Umrah performers.

The ministry affirmed that it will not tolerate any negligence or breach of contractual obligations, reiterating that the rights of Umrah performers are a top priority and that the quality of services provided represents an absolute priority that admits no compromise.

It called on all Umrah companies and establishments to fully comply with approved regulations and instructions and to deliver services in accordance with their contractual commitments.
