Riyadh: At the invitation of Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel, a bilateral meeting was held between Minister of Health of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mustafa Kamal and Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the joint meeting, held on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2025, focused on strengthening efforts to eradicate polio in the most affected areas. Discussions underscored the importance of cooperation between the two countries in all matters that promote public health and address challenges facing the polio eradication campaign.
The Pakistani and Afghan ministers expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom for hosting the meeting. They reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to continuing joint efforts to eradicate polio, enhancing coordination for future vaccination campaigns, and strengthening awareness initiatives to boost immunization in high-risk areas.
