Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al-Manea, the Undersecretary of the Health Ministry, received here an Israeli delegation, led by lawyer Murad Mafraa, the President of the Academic Association of Health in the Arab Community, Director-General of the Fund for the Development of the Afula Medical Centre, in the presence of several doctors, academics and researchers.

The Israeli delegation is visiting the kingdom to be informed about areas of enhancing joint cooperation with Bahrain, as well as support cooperation frameworks in academic and scientific research, medical investments and health programmess, in addition to following up on the latest developments in the fields of medical research and exchanging experiences between the two sides.

Dr. Al-Manea affirmed the importance of such field visits in strengthening cooperation in medical and academic fields, lauding the efforts being made to enhance relations between Bahrain and Israel in various fields, particularly health.

The two sides discussed a number of topics pertaining to health, medical specialties and training, in addition to ways to bolster the ongoing bilateral cooperation by signing memoranda of understanding between the two countries.

They also reviewed Bahrain’s distinguished health system, and discussed exchanging health expertise, scientific research and medical studies, in addition to the provision of health services, programmes and preventive plans.

Members of the delegation appreciated the efforts being made to enhance joint cooperation in the medical field.

The undersecretary expressed thanks and appreciation to the members of the delegation, wishing them success in broadening joint cooperation.
