Heavy Rain and Dust-Stirring Winds Expected in Several Saudi Regions

Riyadh: Heavy rain and hail are anticipated in parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions this Saturday, as reported by the National Center for Meteorology. In addition, light to moderate rain is expected in areas including Eastern, Riyadh, Madinah, and Najran regions. Dust-stirring winds will impact these regions and extend to parts of Hail, Tabuk, and Al-Jouf.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds of 10-34 km/h in the northern part, and southwesterly to northwesterly winds at 10-50 km/h in the central and southern parts. Wave heights are forecasted to vary from half a meter to over two meters, leading to a sea state ranging from calm to choppy conditions.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are predicted to be northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 15-30 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northeasterly to southeasterly at 10-25 km/h in the southern part. Waves are expected to reach half to one and a half meters, resulting in relatively calm sea conditions.
