Heritage Commission Revitalizes Najran’s Historic Al-Badee Principality Center

Najran: Al-Badee Principality Center in Najran's Al-Hadn neighborhood holds a significant place in the memories of its residents as the region's inaugural principality headquarters, serving as a testament to the Kingdom's unification under King Abdulaziz Al Saud. Established in 1359 AH, the center embodies the national culture and history of the area.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the principality represents the Kingdom's commitment to sustainable development and efforts to strengthen national identity. This initiative supports the creation of integrated, prosperous communities and contributes to broader stability throughout the country.

The Heritage Commission has undertaken the restoration and rehabilitation of Al-Badee Principality Center as part of a heritage buildings care program. This effort aims to protect the site from deterioration and transform it into a historical, cultural, and tourism destination. The site is designed to educate visitors about the Kingdom's development stages and traditional architectural arts. It also seeks to raise awareness regarding the value of heritage and foster a sense of belonging among citizens, all while supporting economic and cultural development and preserving the sustainability of the local urban identity.
