Riyadh: The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has played a crucial role in empowering 74,000 Saudi citizens to secure employment within the transportation and logistics sector from 2020 through the first half of 2025. This initiative is a significant step towards fulfilling the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to strengthen key economic sectors by building sustainable human capital.
According to Saudi Press Agency, HRDF's strategic efforts included signing 12 specialized training agreements directly linked to employment within the sector. The total support from these agreements exceeded SAR500 million, aiming to train approximately 2,000 citizens. The employment sustainability rate among beneficiaries in the sector impressively reached 78%.
Furthermore, HRDF's initiatives have facilitated the enhancement of professional certification programs across various specialized fields within the transportation and logistics sector. The fund also raised the support rate for numerous professions through the 'Employment Support' program, which covers 50% of the employee's salary up to a maximum of SAR3,000. Additionally, around 4,000 citizens benefited from on-the-job training programs, further boosting the sector's development and the nation's workforce capabilities.
