Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, engaged in a phone conversation with French Republic President Emmanuel Macron. They reviewed the outcomes of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which was co-chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussion included preparations for resuming the conference at the summit level on September 22, 2025. This effort aims to support ending the war in Gaza and achieving peace, ultimately leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Both leaders praised the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the New York Declaration, issued by the conference and approved by an overwhelming majority. They also noted the increasing number of countries expressing their intention to recognize the State of Palestine, indicating a growing international consensus towards a peaceful future that allows the Palestinian people to establish an independent state.
