HRH Crown Prince and US President Strengthen Economic Ties at Saudi-US Investment Forum


Washington: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and US President Donald J. Trump participated in the Saudi-US Investment Forum at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.



According to Saudi Press Agency, HRH the Crown Prince expressed his pleasure at reconvening with the US president and attending the forum six months after the previous Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh. The Riyadh forum had laid the groundwork for a partnership focused on economic growth, diversification, and innovation. A significant highlight of the event was the signing of the Strategic Economic Partnership Document, which marked a pivotal moment in enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations.



HRH the Crown Prince announced the signing of new investment agreements and projects spanning sectors such as defense, energy, AI, rare minerals, and finance. These agreements are expected to generate substantial job opportunities and drive economic growth in both countries. He emphasized the desire to strengthen the longstanding relationship and develop investment avenues aligned with shared ambitions, urging stakeholders to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the Saudi-American partnership.



In his concluding remarks, HRH the Crown Prince extended gratitude to the US president for his commitment to fostering the economic partnership, expressing confidence in its unprecedented future growth.



President Trump, in his address, expressed gratitude to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his leadership and dedication to the bilateral ties. He referred to their visit to the White House as a celebration of the 80-year bond between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also highlighted the official designation of Saudi Arabia as a major non-NATO ally, underscoring the trust and collaboration between the two countries.



Additionally, President Trump mentioned the signing of a historic Strategic Defense Agreement, which includes the sale of advanced military equipment to Saudi Arabia. He concluded by stressing the commitment of both nations to strengthening their alliance, making it more robust and formidable.
