Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired a significant Cabinet session held in Jeddah. The session focused on multiple strategic discussions and decisions important to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, HRH the Crown Prince welcomed pilgrims from across the globe arriving in Saudi Arabia for Hajj. He emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to facilitating the Hajj rituals and ensuring the highest quality of services for pilgrims visiting the Grand Mosque of Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque of Madinah. The Crown Prince directed that all necessary resources be utilized to ensure the success of the plans for this year's Hajj season.
The Cabinet was also briefed on HRH the Crown Prince's recent communications with global leaders, including a phone call with President Xi Jinping of China and meetings with the leaders of Sudan, Pakistan, and the European Council. These engagements are a part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to support multilateral cooperation on regional and global challenges.
The session also included a review of recent international meetings and Saudi Arabia's role in them, reflecting the Kingdom's support for multilateral action to foster dialogue and strengthen international security. Discussions also covered developments in maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, underlining the Kingdom's investments in energy security and alternative export routes.
Domestically, the Cabinet welcomed the launch of the Public Investment Fund's five-year strategy, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to enhance local economic systems and increase the private sector's contribution to national development. The Cabinet also celebrated the historic performance of non-oil exports in 2025 and Saudi Arabia's top ranking in the digital readiness framework by the International Telecommunication Union.
Several key decisions were issued, including authorizations and approvals of memorandums of understanding and agreements with various countries on political consultations, mutual visa exemptions, and cooperation in multiple sectors such as Islamic affairs, legal and judicial fields, roads, tourism, and economic cooperation. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the National Framework for Physical Security and Safety, regulations for the Non-Oil Revenues Development Center, and amendments to the State's fiscal year.
The session concluded with the approval of continued State support for temporary work visa fees for seasonal workers in Hajj and Umrah services, reflecting the Kingdom's dedication to facilitating religious pilgrimages.
