According to Saudi Press Agency, during the news conference held today in Riyadh to launch the 2025 Esports World Cup, Prince Faisal expressed pride in the success of the inaugural edition in 2024, describing it as a legacy event whose impact will span generations. He thanked the dedicated team working on developing esports infrastructure, which he described as a key pillar in supporting the rapidly growing global sector.
CEO of Esports World Cup Foundation Ralf Reichert stated that this year's edition - taking place July 7 to August 24 - is the largest in the history of esports, featuring more than 2,000 players representing 200 teams from around the world. He expressed confidence in the tournament's success, describing it as a truly global event.
