His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (64) of 2023, appointing directors in the General Secretariat of the Higher Education Council (HEC), based on a proposal by the Minister of Education.

The edict stipulates the following:

Article (I)

The General Secretariat of the HEC shall appoint each of the following:

1. Dr. Zainab Ali Habib Al Touq, as Director of the Research and Policy Directorate.

2. Dr. Jihan Ali Ahmed Al Mannai, as Director of the Academic Services Directorate.

3. Dr. Hussein Mohsen Hamid Al Areedh, as Director of the Accreditation and Licensing Directorate.

Article (II)

The Minister of Education shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes immediate effect and will be published in the Official Gazette.
