The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) has launched a new service that makes it possible to transfer domestic laborers between individuals through the Musaned platform, starting on August 1, 2023.
The initiative is part of HRSD’s continuous efforts to develop the domestic labor sector in the Kingdom, improve recruitment, safeguard workers’ rights, regulate contractual relationships between the parties involved, and ensure effective oversight. The employer will be responsible for the cost of the transfer.
The new service enables individual citizens to transfer domestic laborers from one employer to another through the Musaned platform, using easy and convenient electronic steps. The process follows the regulations, rules, and conditions set for recruitment. All parties involved in the contractual relationship, the initial employer, the domestic worker and the new employer, must agree with the transfer in order for it to be finalized. The payment will be made through secure electronic channels on the platform, in accordance with the prices set by HRSD.
HRSD further emphasized that this measure will ensure the protection of the rights of both the employer and the domestic worker in the process of transfer. To achieve this, a specific duration employment contract will be issued, containing clauses that safeguard the rights of both parties. This contract will have to be approved by both parties.
The Musaned platform is one of the initiatives HRSD has taken to improve recruitment of domestic help in the Kingdom. This platform offers multiple services to improve and facilitate the process of recruitment, resolve complaints, and address any disputes that may arise between the parties involved in the contractual relationship. It also works to safeguard their rights.
