St. petersburg: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef is participating as part of Saudi Arabia's official delegation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026 (SPIEF), held in the Russian Federation. Saudi Arabia attends as guest of honor.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the minister is participating in high-level dialogue sessions on global economy and industry, the future of supply chains, and the role of minerals and rare earth elements in manufacturing and the renewable energy transition. These sessions include "Rare and Strategic: Sovereignty and International Cooperation in the Field of Rare Earth Elements and Critical Minerals" and "The Missing Pieces of the Global Food Security Puzzle."

The minister is also holding a series of bilateral meetings with government officials and private-sector leaders. These meetings aim to explore cooperation opportunities in the industry and mining sectors and to identify high-quality investment opportunities in priority sectors.
