Industry Minister Inspects Military Manufacturing Facilities in Al-Kharj

Al-kharj: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has visited several military manufacturing facilities in Al-Kharj Governorate, including the SAMI Land Industrial Complex (SAMI Land), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), which is wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). According to Saudi Press Agency, during the visit, Alkhorayef toured the complex's manufacturing facilities and production lines, where he was briefed on advanced defense manufacturing technologies. SAMI serves as the Kingdom's principal vehicle for localizing the defense industry and operates through specialized business units covering land systems, air systems, advanced electronics, unmanned systems, and munitions. The minister also visited several facilities operated by NCMS Company, where he reviewed manufacturing processes and the company's key products. NCMS is a Saudi defense manufacturer specializing in mechanical and electromechanical systems, optical technologies, and weapon firin g systems. The visit reflects the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources' commitment to advancing national defense manufacturing capabilities and building an integrated defense industrial base. These efforts support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to localize 50% of the Kingdom's military spending while strengthening national security.
