Industry Vice Minister Inaugurates Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center

Riyadh: Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Eng. Khalil Ibn Salamah today inaugurated the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center, which aims to enable the latest advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance industrial transformation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and raise the competitiveness of Saudi industry regionally and globally.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center brings together all advanced manufacturing initiatives and programs under one entity and provides its services through a network of capability centers across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It supports smart transformation in industrial facilities by adopting modern manufacturing technologies to raise production efficiency in the industrial sector and enhance its sustainability and competitiveness. It provides incentives, consultations, training, and advanced manufacturing solutions.

The center achieves several important strategic objectives, including increasing productivity and competitiveness in the manufacturing sector, supporting the localization of advanced and sustainable technologies, and creating an attractive environment for advanced industrial investment. Under its supervision, it includes a few specialized centers and programs, including the Capability Centers Network, an integrated network of centers across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that offer experiential learning and skills building, in addition to advisory services for industrial facilities.
