Riyadh: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque intensified its field efforts inside the Grand Mosque and its courtyards yesterday on the Day of Ashura, using an integrated system of services aimed at providing care and support for worshippers and visitors, ensuring they can perform their rituals and worship with ease and convenience.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority noted that services provided to visitors of the Grand Mosque included location guidance to facilitate movement within the mosque and its courtyards, a luggage storage service at secure locations for the comfort of worshippers, and designated areas for ending the state of Ihram under the supervision of qualified staff.
The authority also prepared prayer areas, distributed Zamzam water throughout the Grand Mosque's corridors, and provided iftar meals to fasting individuals for their convenience. Ashura Day also saw intensified cleaning and sanitization efforts to maintain the sanctity of the site and the safety of visitors.
