Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa today held, in the presence of the Chief of Public Security, a meeting with Governors and Directors-General of Police Directorates in the four governorates.

The meeting reviewed methods to reinforce cooperation and coordination between the governorates and police directorates to protect citizens’ and residents’ security and general safety and promote communication and coordination in security and social issues.

The minister minister asserted the importance of programmes, activities and initiatives to promote prevention in dealing with various security issues. He thanked the governors for their ongoing interaction and field operations.

He appreciated police personnel for their professionalism and proactive measures to enhance community awareness and national responsibility.

He highlighted the reduction in the crime rate required to continue with development and modernisation operations and performance evaluation to protect achievements and enhance services. He wished them all the best in serving the nation.
