Paris:The International Dates Council (IDC) is taking part in SIAL Paris 2026, a major food industry exhibition occurring in the French capital from October 17 to 21. This event is one of the largest in the world for the food sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the IDC is participating through the National Center for Palms and Dates pavilion, where it is highlighting the quality and diversity of dates from its 17 member states. The council's involvement is focused on building relationships with importers, distributors, and food industry representatives, as well as exploring partnerships and opportunities to enter new international markets.

In collaboration with Madinah Dates, the council is inviting visitors to sample Ajwa dates, a notable variety from Saudi Arabia, and to learn about their nutritional benefits and historical importance. This effort aims to introduce the product to professionals in the international food industry.

SIAL Paris is a significant event for the global food industry. The 2026 edition features around 8,000 exhibitors and is anticipated to draw nearly 295,000 professionals from about 200 countries. The exhibition offers a platform for producers, importers, and buyers to form business connections and explore new developments and trends in global food markets.
