International Forum for Regulatory Transformation Supports Society Participation in Legislative Systems, Decision for Medical Devices, Supplies

Riyadh– The Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP) and APACMed have recently in Singapore organized international forum for regulatory transformation with the aim of highlighting the importance of harmonization and rapprochement of global regulatory systems in the field of medical devices and supplies to support the industry, innovation and transfer modern technologies among the countries.

Deputy CEO for Medical Devices and Supplies at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and President of GHWP Eng. Ali Al-Dalan, while participating in the event, highlighted the importance of the future of regulatory transformation for regulatory institutions and for the growth, development and innovation in the industry of medical devices and supplies and its contribution to ensuring the safety of these devices in diagnosis and treatment, noting that it is one of the important means to ensure patients’ benefit from all modern technologies, mainly in poor countries.

On the sidelines of the meeting, GHWP Secretariat General held its periodic meeting under the presidency of Eng. Al-Dalan, during which participants discussed the annual strategic plan for the organization and checked on a report for the work of practical and technical teams at GHWP.
