Iranian judiciary official: 37 people have been arrested in connection with the terrorist attack at the Shahgrah shrine

Head of the judiciary in the Iranian province of Fars, Kazem Mousavi, announced the arrest of 37 people in connection with the recent terrorist attack that targeted the Shahgrah shrine in Shiraz, in the south of the country.

Mousavi said in a statement today, Thursday, according to “IRNA”, that “the trial session of the three main suspects in the case will be held on September 9.”

He explained: Five of the detainees were released after the charges against them were dropped, and apart from the three main accused, the investigation is still ongoing with 29 other accused.

A terrorist attack targeted the shrine of Sayyid Ahmed bin Musa (pbuh) “Shahgragh”, on August 13, killing two people and injuring 7 others, while the terrorist who carried out the operation was arrested.
