Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through its branch in the Makkah Region, has readied 1,013 mosques in the central area of Makkah as part of a comprehensive plan to welcome Umrah pilgrims and visitors at the start of the 1447 AH Umrah season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the preparations included overseeing maintenance, operations, and cleaning efforts, along with intensifying inspection tours to monitor the performance of contracted companies and ensure the quality of services provided. The ministry has also implemented periodic maintenance programs to ensure facilities remain fully operational around the clock.
These efforts demonstrate the ministry’s commitment to preparing mosques for Umrah performers, providing them with a spiritually enriching and comfortable environment that allows them to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
