Islamic Affairs Ministry Launches Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar and Date Distribution Programs in Cameroon

Yaound©: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift programs for distributing dates and providing Iftar meals for the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative was inaugurated during an official ceremony at the Saudi Embassy in the capital, Yaound©. Under the program, 25 tons of dates have been allocated for distribution, designated to benefit approximately 120,000 individuals nationwide. Additionally, the Iftar program is expected to serve around 15,000 fasting Muslims throughout the blessed month.

The implementation of these programs falls within the ministry's broader, ongoing efforts to serve Islam and Muslims globally. This year, the dates distribution program extends to 120 countries, while the Iftar program operates in 70 countries. These extensive initiatives reaffirm the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting Islamic humanitarian work, meeting the needs of Muslims, and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity worldwide.
