Dhahran: The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), an initiative by Saudi Aramco, in cooperation with the Visual Arts Commission, is hosting the "Bedayat: Beginnings of Saudi Art Movement" exhibition from July 13 to November 7, 2026, documenting a pivotal phase in Saudi art history and highlighting the emergence and development of the modern art movement in the Kingdom from the 1960s through the 1980s.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the exhibition features more than 150 artworks by 68 Saudi artists, alongside over 200 archival materials and multimedia presentations, offering a visual narrative documenting the evolution of artistic practices and the role of pioneering artists in building an art ecosystem that drew on local heritage and engaged with social, economic, and global artistic currents.
