Jazan:The Jazan Industrial Chemistry Society (JICS) recently conducted a virtual scientific workshop focusing on isotope production, separation, and applications. This event was part of the activities for Arab Chemistry Week and was aimed at researchers and chemistry enthusiasts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop's objectives included raising awareness of the significance of chemistry and its applications, enhancing scientific knowledge, developing research skills, and fostering an interest in discovery and innovation.

The discussions during the workshop delved into the scientific principles of isotope production and separation methods, as well as the techniques used for extracting and purifying isotopes. Participants also explored the properties of both radioactive and stable isotopes, and their diverse applications in medicine, industry, and research.

Additionally, the workshop addressed the use of isotopes in various areas such as medical diagnosis and treatment, tracing chemical reactions, testing materials, and analyzing their composition. It also emphasized the role of modern technologies in improving the accuracy of measurements and analyses, thereby advancing scientific research methods.
