Jeddah Municipality Launches New System to Enhance Rainwater Drainage Management

Jeddah: Jeddah Municipality has launched the Maximo system to manage the assets and projects of the rainwater drainage program, as part of its efforts to develop operational processes and enhance the efficiency of operation and maintenance. The initiative aims to strengthen infrastructure readiness and reliability and improve the quality of life.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the system is designed to streamline work procedures, increase operational management efficiency, and enhance accuracy and reliability in tracking assets and projects through an integrated digital platform. It enables efficient asset lifecycle management and supports data-driven decision-making.

The system will enhance the rainwater drainage program’s capabilities to monitor drainage networks, pumping stations, and related infrastructure, improving response speed and coordination among relevant departments. It also allows integration with other institutional systems.

Maximo is an advanced enterprise asset management solution that provides tools for managing assets and equipment, monitoring their condition, planning and scheduling preventive and emergency maintenance, and managing work orders and spare parts. This reduces downtime and improves operational efficiency.

The system also supports artificial intelligence and data analytics technologies to detect patterns and anomalies and deliver proactive indicators that enhance predictive maintenance efficiency.
