Riyadh: Jeddah Municipality organized awareness events at several beaches yesterday to mark World Drowning Prevention Day, focusing on raising awareness of drowning risks and encouraging safe practices among beachgoers.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the events were conducted in cooperation with the Public Health Authority, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, and the Border Guard. The campaign provided visitors with guidance on safe swimming practices, the importance of adhering to safety instructions, supervising children, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. These efforts support ongoing initiatives to reduce drowning incidents and foster a culture of prevention across the community.
