Jeddah’s Hayy Jameel Events Bring Together Heritage, Arts, and Culture for Ramadan

Jeddah: Hayy Jameel in Jeddah returns this year with an integrated and diverse program featuring Ramadan markets, interactive workshops, and nighttime dining experiences in a vibrant cultural atmosphere, with activities continuing until mid-March.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Ramadan nights at Hayy Jameel are among the most prominent cultural events of the season, drawing significant turnout from citizens, residents, and visitors. They offer rich cultural and entertainment experiences that allow families working in the cottage industry and entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and handicrafts, celebrating the Kingdom's rich cultural heritage, encourage cultural tourism, and boost national identity.

This year, heritage performances highlight local folklore and authentic traditions presented by male and female artisans. Engraving workshops are also held, featuring a decorative journey inspired by geometric motifs in Hejazi architecture. These workshops enable participants to study patterns and design their own decorations while gaining a deeper understanding of the geometric ornaments that characterize Hejazi architecture, under the supervision of specialists in an applied educational setting.
