Manama: The King Fahd Causeway Authority (KFCA) has introduced a suite of electronic services aimed at easing the travel process during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. These services are accessible through the "KFCA" application and are designed to streamline travel procedures for those crossing the causeway.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the new electronic services include pre-payment options for crossing fees, electronic vehicle insurance, and a live feed to monitor traffic conditions and average crossing times in the procedures area. Additionally, travelers have the option to use the "KFCA Plus" fast-track service, which allows them to cross the procedures area via a dedicated lane after paying a service fee, thereby ensuring a quicker and more flexible crossing experience.
The KFCA has urged travelers to take full advantage of these electronic services, emphasizing the importance of carrying original travel documents for both individuals and vehicles. These documents must be validated and fulfill all crossing requirements as specified by the relevant authorities.
This initiative comes in response to the anticipated increase in traveler numbers across the King Fahd Causeway during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. The objective is to enhance traffic flow, speed up travel procedures, and minimize waiting times, thereby improving the overall travel experience for all users.
