King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority Showcases Its Initiatives on World Environment Day

Riyadh: King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority highlighted its efforts to raise community awareness of environmental protection on the occasion of World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5. Through its social media platforms, the authority shared educational content emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment and preserving its natural resources.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority also highlighted the reserve's role in promoting biodiversity by providing a safe habitat for wildlife and native plants and supporting national efforts to achieve sustainable environmental development. It showcased initiatives to rehabilitate more than 750,000 hectares of degraded land, restore vegetation cover, and plant more than four million seedlings within the reserve.

The authority noted that its participation in World Environment Day reflects its commitment to promoting sustainability, preserving environmental heritage for future generations, and raising public awareness of environmental issues. These efforts contribute to improving quality of life and advancing environmental sustainability goals in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
