Literature and Publishing Commission Preparing for Riyadh International Book Fair

Riyadh: The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission is actively preparing to host the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025. Scheduled to take place from October 2-11, the event will be held under the theme 'Riyadh Reads' at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the fair will feature participation from over 2,000 local and international publishing houses and agencies, representing more than 25 countries. The event is set to welcome prominent writers, intellectuals, and cultural figures from both the Kingdom and abroad, reinforcing its reputation as a significant cultural platform within the Arab world.

Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Alwasel, Chief Executive of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, stated that the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 is a major cultural platform that promotes reading and knowledge in the region. He highlighted that the fair reflects the Kingdom's leadership vision and its ongoing commitment to supporting culture and cultural initiatives.

Dr. Alwasel also remarked that the fair strengthens the Kingdom's role as a contributor to the regional and global cultural scene. The event continues to support the commission's mission by fostering an environment conducive to cultural creativity, enhancing the local publishing industry, and providing Saudi authors with opportunities to present their work. This includes the 'Saudi Author's Corner,' dedicated to self-published writers, featuring a wide range of titles in literature, knowledge, and culture.
