Makkah Chamber Hosts Purple Saturday 2026 to Advance Inclusion of People with Disabilities

Riyadh: The Makkah Chamber, in partnership with the Authority of People with Disability and with the participation of more than 40 government, private-sector, and nonprofit entities, organized the Purple Saturday 2026 event to promote inclusivity and empower people with disabilities, enhancing their economic and social participation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event featured awareness programs, workshops, training courses, and information booths highlighting services, initiatives, training and employment opportunities, as well as programs designed to improve accessibility, foster inclusive workplaces, and support entrepreneurship and employment for people with disabilities.

The initiative builds on the Makkah Chamber's ongoing efforts to promote the integration of people with disabilities into the business environment, following its receipt of the Purple Saturday Award in 2025 in the best initiative for promoting inclusivity category.

The event concluded by honoring participating organizations for their contributions to Purple Saturday 2026's success and for their support of initiatives advancing inclusion and empowering people with disabilities.
