Makkah Region Deputy Governor Meets F1H2O World Championship Delegation

Jeddah: Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the National Calendar Committee of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz received the delegation of the F1H2O World Championship for powerboat racing. Prince Saud commended the organizational efforts and success of the final round of the F1H2O World Championship hosted by Jeddah, noting that the achievement reflects professionalism in event management and underscores Jeddah's status as a global destination for major international sporting events.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Saud affirmed that water sports add value to the sports and tourism sectors, stressing that Jeddah, with its capabilities and infrastructure, is well positioned to be a leading host for world-class championships. This enhances the city's presence on the global sports map and advances the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Delegation members expressed appreciation to the deputy governor for his support. They noted that the success of the Jeddah round was highlighted by receiving the award for Best Organization Worldwide and official recognition from the F1H2O Championship management and the European governing body for aquatic sports, following strong competition with several host cities.

The delegation emphasized that this achievement reflects effective integration between government entities and organizing bodies. It also strengthens the confidence of international federations in the Kingdom's capabilities, particularly Jeddah's, to host major global championships in accordance with the highest organizational and technical standards.
