Ould Saleh praised Saudi Arabia's extensive initiatives in printing and distributing the Holy Quran and organizing Quranic competitions. He particularly lauded the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran as a leading and distinguished competition in its field. Ould Saleh noted that this competition attracts participants from Mauritania and neighboring countries, who come to Makkah every year to take part in it.
