Media Minister and SRMG CEO Discuss Advances in Saudi Sports Coverage

Riyadh: Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary met with the CEO of the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG), Joumana Rashed Al-Rashed, on Sunday evening, accompanied by leadership from both the ministry and SRMG. The discussions centered around developments in media coverage for Saudi sports competitions, particularly following the awarding of broadcast rights to Thmanyah Company for Publishing and Distribution, a subsidiary of SRMG.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the CEO of Thmanyah Company presented updates on the progress of television and digital broadcasting for Saudi sports competitions. This included the readiness of broadcast studios, the implementation of innovative technologies, the development of content and publishing platforms, and the launch plan for new channels.

Minister Al-Dossary emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting the media coverage of Saudi sports competitions. He stated that the ministry is mobilizing all its resources to enhance the Kingdom's sports presence locally and globally. This initiative is in line with the aspirations of sports fans and aims to bolster the Kingdom's position on the global sports map, supported by the country's leadership.

Joumana Rashed Al-Rashed expressed her appreciation for the ongoing support from the media system, highlighting that this cooperation will lead to significant improvements in broadcasting Saudi sports championships, aligning with the highest international standards.

The meeting is part of a series of engagements with SRMG and other media institutions. These meetings aim to synchronize joint media efforts, improve content quality, and enhance integration to support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to build a robust and influential national media sector.
