Meteorology Center and ACWA Power Sign MoU to Enhance Climate and Environmental Cooperation

Jeddah: The National Center for Meteorology today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ACWA Power aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of meteorology, climate, and environmental sustainability. The agreement was formalized at the center's headquarters in Jeddah, marking a significant step towards achieving environmental sustainability and advancing technical and scientific capabilities in climate monitoring and analysis.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU outlines several terms to strengthen the partnership between the two entities. Key areas of collaboration include the provision of weather services and early warning systems, the exchange of meteorological information and data, and cooperation in scientific research and climate studies. The agreement also focuses on supporting operational processes and developing joint action mechanisms.

This collaboration is anticipated to reinforce the institutional relationship between the National Center for Meteorology and ACWA Power. Both parties aim to leverage meteorological services and technological products to benefit their operations.
